2.jpgThe Austin Peay State University Greek community is excited to welcome the colony of Alpha Tau Omega back to campus. Founded in 1865, ATO was the first fraternity founded after the Civil War in hopes of reuniting the North and South. The organization was founded on Christian principles. Today, the fraternity is a social leadership organization open to men of all faiths and backgrounds. ATO has over 181,000 members and 240 chapters across the nation, according to www.ato.org.

The Eta Tau chapter of ATO was originally founded at APSU in 1971 and has been absent from campus since 1990. To become a member, students must be male, in good standing with the University and hold a 2.5 GPA.
